Schroon Lake Marina (Schroon Lake, NY) is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Parts & Service Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support. This is a dynamic role that involves assisting customers with their boat parts and service needs by providing accurate information and recommendations. Job Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service Excellence: Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers, understanding their service requirements, and addressing their concerns or questions promptly and professionally.
2. Service Consultation: Consult with customers to identify their boat service needs, including repairs, maintenance, parts, and accessories. Assess the scope of work required and provide accurate time and cost estimates.
3. Service Recommendations: Utilize obtained knowledge and expertise to recommend appropriate services or repairs to customers based on their specific needs.
4. Create work orders, including diagnostic plans, quotes, and repair plans by determining the length of repair based on parts and labor availability; review plans with technicians.
5. Order Management: Manage service and parts orders, schedule appointments, and coordinate service timelines with the service technicians. Ensure that all required parts and supplies are available and ordered in a timely manner.
6. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions, service orders, and service histories. Update customer profiles and service files with relevant information.
6. Technical Support: Assist customers in understanding the technical aspects of their boat, including troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance procedures.
7. Communication: Communicate effectively with the service team, technicians, and other departments to ensure smooth service operations and timely completion of customer requests.
5-6 days a week in season, including at least one weekend day
4-5 hours a week off season. Also flexible for the right person to have the winter off.
